200 g. uld
bejdset i alun/vinsten blev sat over ilden med ca. 800 gram findelte rejnfan-blade.
Sjovt hvordan

Rejnfan - Tansy |
Tansy leaves - tanacetum vulgare
200 grams of Alum/CoT
premordanted wool in the bath along with 800 grams of finely chopped
tansy leaves should give me a nice yellow-green color.
I love the smell of tansy – even the leaves have that
characteristic smell of summer.
I left it in the bath for an hour or so and let it cool
overnight.
The next day, I tried to adjust the color with potash – in order
to obtain a ph 5 or so, because I read somewhere, it should turn the yellow
color of tansy leaves into green…
Result? – well, if I put the yarn up to some green color, it
seems yellow – and if I match the yarn with a yellow item, it seems green… maybe
it’s what they call lime?
