Det slår mig, at det er meget nemmere at lave en rigtig mørk, koncentreret rød farve, end det er at lave en lys rød/pink farve, der holder...
Denne lyse røde er lige hvad jeg har lyst til at strikke med - den er skøn! - men mon den holder i vask, og kan den tåle langvaring påvirkning af sollys? Mere herom senere...

I am producing natural colours with the madder plant and experimenting with different recipies and old tips. It seems to me, that all the recepies and advice concentrate on making dark, full, red colours - but what about a pale pink as in the photo above? I have left a skein in a bath of rinse water from other dye baths for about 24 hours. I didn't heat it, and I didn't mordant the skein - my worry is now - will the colour last when I wash it and when it meets daylight? I will keep you informed....
