Solgul - warm yellow
Lys gul - bright yellow
Brunporesvamp - Phaeolus schweinitzii
Last November, I found some old Phaeolus schweinitzii among fir trees in the wood. I was only 80% sure it was the right mushroom, but I put them in my freezer anyway. And to my great relief, the first attempt to dye with them gave a beautiful warm yellow on alum/CoT. The second dye bath produced a much lighter yellow - still very beautiful, and I don't think I will stick to my initial plan of using it for an indigo batch :-) And on top of that the mushroom has left the yarn very soft and with a nice smell.
